All About Love: New Visions

Why we chose this title

Love.

It seems so obvious to know what it is.

Whether we listen to love songs, watch romantic movies or read about it.

Love is all around.

But how much of what we know about it truly comes from within?

If we take a close and honest look, we realise that our definition of love has been shaped by others.

We love the way, we have been loved.

In order to experience true love we would want to start with ourselves.

To embark on a journey of self-discovery and to understand who we are.

A journey that ultimately allows us to fully accept and love ourselves unconditionally.

Book Summary

All About Love offers radical new ways to think about love by showing its interconnectedness in our private and public lives. In eleven concise chapters, hooks explains how our everyday notions of what it means to give and receive love often fail us, and how these ideals are established in early childhood.
